New York is not skinhead heaven, what with its high drinking age and beer prices. The scene is based in the East Village around St. Marks street. Venues advertise their shows in the Village Voice which is free at newsstands.

Sweetwater is a cool pub with great beer and a jukebox well-stocked with oi! and streetpunk. It is in Williamsburg, in Brooklyn. Get out at the Bedford stop on the L line - its the first stop over the river. Look for a Guinness sign on 6th street.
